Prof. Weinan E is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. He is also a professor of both the School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University and Princeton University, and serves as the director of The Center for Machine Learning Research (CMLR) at Peking University,  the president of the Beijing Institute of Big Data Research(BIBDR), the president of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, University of Science and Technology of China, and the Scientific Advisory Board  Chair of the Institute for Math & Al, Wuhan.

Research Interests：

His main research interest is numerical algorithms, machine learning and multi-scale modeling, with applications to chemistry, material sciences and fluid mechanics.
